Additional Information

The Black Engineering Student Society (BESS) was founded in 1974 by two African-American engineering students to build solidarity and support for the few Black engineering students who were enrolled at the time. The following year, BESS became a chartered chapter of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE). The society aims to keep Black students in the engineering field and recruit more Black students to Northeastern's Engineering programs with outreach to high schools in the Boston area. BESS welcomes all who support empowering Black engineers to contribute to the future success of institutions across academia, corporate sectors, and society as a whole. Your generous donation will directly support the mission of the organization.
